To use, turn on the unit by putting the batteries into the boresight body with the flat (positive "+") side facing the battery cap, tighten the cap by turning it clockwise until secure, and carefully place the boresight into the chamber of your firearm and close the bolt slowly until it fits snugly. Locate a target 20-30 yards away on which the laser can be clearly seen, and adjust the windage and elevation of the scope or sight onto the laser point. Theoretically, when sighting in at 25 yards, the shot will be within 4 inches of the bullseye at 100 yards, so adjust the scope or rifle for the change of distance according to the scope, ammunition and the rifle manufacturer's instructions.
